Internet Based Marketing Uncovered

June 7th, 2009 No comments

There are many techniques used when internet based marketing. The key to success as an internet marketer is to build a list of interested subscribers, giving you a read-made sales channel to promote your products.

There are many ways to build your list of potential customers but with internet based marketing then it is simply about providing quality information with a hook to obtain the email address on first contact. One particular technique that can be employed is the free offer. In fact, free offers are for more than list building. They can lead to profits right away, if you’re smart about it.

Free offers give you an excellent tool for attracting attention. As I’ll show you, that attention can translate into profits almost immediately.

It’s often a challenge for new internet based marketers to figure out ways to attract buyers. One of the specific challenges is how not to build a huge list of so-called “freebie seekers” who sign up for a list to get a free gift, but never end up buying anything. Seeking to avoid that, many marketers avoid making free offers entirely.

That’s a mistake.

Free offers are a necessary tool for you. But you need to be smart about making a free offer. A free offer by itself will indeed attract attention from freebie seekers. Then you’ll have to figure out how to sell to them later. A smarter strategy is to attempt a sale right away, and turn some of those freebie seekers into paying customers from the start.

So, how “Free” For Them Can Mean Profit For You? Nothing sells quite as well as free. Buyers like that price! But that’s not why you’re in business. If you don’t end up making money from your free offer, you’re giving away product and costing yourself money.

The smart way to integrate free offers into your business is to make them front end offers for products that cost something. The free offer attracts attention. Then you pitch your non-free product as what’s called an upsell.

If the concept of an upsell sounds new to you, it’s really not. When you go to the movies and buy popcorn, for example, the kid behind the counter probably asks you something like, “Would you like the monster size for only twenty-five cents more?” That’s an upsell. Now, it’s not quite the same, because you’re already buying something (the popcorn), but the principle is identical—it’s getting somebody to spend more right now.

Sometimes you’ll hear people talk about one-time offers (OTOs). The way most people use the term, OTO refers to exactly the same thing as an upsell, so don’t let that confuse you. In website terms, you’ll integrate your upsell between your sales page and your buyer registration page. In other words, you’ll present the upsell before somebody gets your free offer.

There are many of these techniques being put into use while internet based marketing so if you would like to find out more click here.

Home Based Business Scams Uncovered?

June 6th, 2009 No comments

“Is making money online at home a big scam?” It seems to be a common question posed when I talk to people about making money online. There seems to be a stigma attached to making money in this fashion and normally this question is due to a lack of knowledge and understanding of setting up and running an internet business.

Firstly – an internet home based business is an actual business! In most cases you must sell people things, or generate sales for someone else. This involves work! People are becoming more accustomed to spending money online, and it is really no different to walking into a shop and spending money. Someone along the line needs to sell their product or service, or no one makes anything! Therefore, unless you are charging people money and not giving them anything, it is not a scam!

Secondly, you need to put in the work, and take action – otherwise you probably will get involved in home based business scams. In the offline world, businesses don’t grow themselves, and they don’t in the online world either. You need to start small, and gradually take action each day, growing your sales, subscriber list, making or finding products, researching the market etc. It takes work! The get rich fast schemes on the internet may exist for some, but largely, it takes time to make money online as it does offline.

I heard an interview with Will Smith, the famous actor, that sums up point two,in which he was asked about the secrets bof his success. One of his responses was – “If we both get in the treadmill, one of two things will happen -you will get off first or I will die!’. He’s goes on to way that he will not be outworked, and if you take that attitude, then you stand a great chance of success.

The opportunities online are massive, and there is certainly the potential to make vast quantities of money in a relatively short space of time. You just need to learn the skills, take action each day and work hard. That is what will make you succeed online.

Do you Want to Know How to Earn Money Online?

June 5th, 2009 No comments

Since the birth of the internet, entrepreneurs from all over the globe have been developing ingenious ways to answer that question of how to earn money online:

The key to successfully earning money online is to set up income streams which will provide a sustainable income with very little effort. This is known as recurring income or residual income.

In a nutshell, there are three (3) types of income streams that you may have coming into a business.

1. If you do a one-time job, sale or perform a contract, you get paid once and the income stops there.

2. If you do a normal 9 to 5 job, you will continue to get paid as long you continue to work for your employer—often called a linear income. This is the type of income that the majority of workers “enjoy.” Even if you are a neurosurgeon, lawyer or engineer, you are only paid as long as you continue working. You stop working and the bank account dwindles.

3. The third type of income is the recurring income where you are paid even after you have stopped working. For example, you wrote a book and as long as your book continues to sell, you will continue to receive royalty income for a work done once.

Majority of rich and affluent people created wealth through a form of recurring income stream. Take singer Michael Jackson for example; he still continues to receive royalty from the sales of his records made decades ago. He can even repackage the same oldies and sell them to generate new income. He doesn’t have to spend time in the studio to record new songs in order to have the cash keep flowing in! This is the most ideal situation of the three. We would all like to work once and get paid over and over again. That is the power of recurring income and is the key the key to the whole question of how to make money online!

The majority of professionals that enjoy this type of income belong to the creative fields such as actors, writers, singers, and inventors.

Unfortunately, not many of us are blessed with the talents Michael Jackson has, let alone the opportunities to be in the lucrative industries. However, there is one budding opportunity for any ordinary individual today to enjoy residual income today in the 21st century.

You’ve guessed it: it’s none other than Affiliate Marketing or Internet marketing.

Affiliate marketing has been made very popular on the Internet by companies such as Amazon.com, ComissionJunction.com and ClickBank.com.

Strictly speaking, because you are getting a one-time commission for most of your sales in an affiliate program this income is not really recurring. The trick here is to join affiliate programs that offer a monthly service such as a web hosting, or membership websites.  Remember the key is that the product should be consumable or requires renewal. Also affiliate or associate programs don’t normally pay you beyond the second level so you cannot really build large organizations as in a Network Marketing company, therefore your income is a bit restricted. In this case you will have to spread wide—create a large frontline.

Most affiliate programs don’t require you to train or support your customers, so this all balances out. In life it’s hard to break the “you get what you pay for” rule. It’s the sowing / reaping principle.
