Making Money With Resale Rights

December 5th, 2009 No comments

Do you believe that you can make money-selling product, when you do not have the initial capital to buy the products that you intend on selling? How can someone possibly get product for free to sell on the web and make money?  The answer does not require a PHD to figure out, going wholesale is the way to do this. When wholesale comes to mind the first thing mentioned is resale rights.

The basic idea behind the resale right is for you to find out exactly what it is you plan on selling first and foremost, this will be your plan of action. Then you will need to have a place for you to sell the said items, this can be done on Internet auctions such as ebay. You may also run the business out of your home without the said auction sites. You will not be a sole business person in this endeavor however, as you are going to need the product to sell. This is where the wholesaler comes into play. When you can prove the business id and the proof of the ebay account you can easily get an account from the wholesaler to receive goods from them to sell online.

How this works is quite simple, you place the product on the market and set up the sale. This then will be sent to the wholesaler for approval, once you get the approval of the sale it shall commence. The likelihood of you having the space to keep a large amount of the product in your home, of course depending on what you are selling. There is the possibility for you to have your stuff stored at the very place that you have purchased from. This no doubt ably will come at a cost, it will be minimal however as the product is already there in the first place. This will be on more of a percentage basis than a fee or charge. If you think about it you are buying from a wholesaler anyhow, spending a little on storage by way of a percentage is a small price to pay. It would cost you far more to rent out space to store the goods that you are selling.

So when you sell the product to a client, you will in turn pay for the goods sold, pay the percentage for the storage and what ever is left belongs to you. This is an excellent way for you to develop a great relationship with the wholesaler, and get a business off the ground and successful. So as you can see, getting on the resale right bandwagon is clearly the way to go when starting a new Internet sales business.

Cross Promoting Techniques that Work

September 17th, 2009 No comments

Cross promotions are not a new idea. They have been used by businesses for a very long time. For example, a real-estate company may promote a certain lawyer to close a sale, as the lawyer will promote that agency in his firm. The system is somewhat similar to the primitive barter system, where people traded items rather than using money. How can anything primitive fit into the online world of Internet marketing? Very easily. Cross promotions are, simply stated, a trade of advertising space. Instead of paying for advertising space on a site, you would place their ad on your page and yours on theirs. There are many ways to use cross promotions in your internet business that can be an effective and cost efficient way to advertise.

One way is to use link exchanges. This is very effective when doing cross promotions with a company that is similar to yours, however you should be sure and never link to a page that is in direct competition with yours. One of the best things about link exchanges is that some search engines are factoring in hits from the sites that are linked to your page to
when determining the ranking. Therefore linking to a more popular site, can not only increase your advertising, and traffic, but also increase your
search engine ranking.

When customers or potential customers subscribe to your ezine you can use this as an opportunity to use cross promotions. On the same page that the customer subscribes to your ezine, make available the opportunity to subscribe to another company’s ezine. You can even exchange ad space in ezines, and provide recommendations for those whom you cross promote with.
You might even want to exchange column space in one another’s ezines.

Writing free articles that inform customers or potential customers with information that is useful and accurate can create a reputation for you and your business. Soon readers will come to know you as an expert on the subject. In these articles the author uses a byline to help promote his site. Bylines can be a way to use cross promotions as well. You can use
part of the space in your byline to recommend another’s product.

If you have been considering writing an ebook, a joint venture could mean increased profits for you and the person you are partnering with. Cross promotions through ebooks are an excellent way to allow for a wider topic and to promote both your business and your partner’s business. The ebook should contain information that will benefit both businesses and still be helpful to the reader. A good example of using cross promotions through an ebook is to a site selling used video games partnering with a site selling gaming devices. These are two subjects that would interest the same reader and most likely lead the reader to both sites.

You should keep in mind that the recommendations that you make are a direct reflection of you, so choose your cross promotional businesses carefully. Also keep in mind that it would be nice as a shopper to be able to link from one site to another as a way to “shop around.“ Since this is usually not beneficial to you, never link or recommend a site that is in direct competition with you. Instead, recommend those who are similar, such as health and life insurance.

9 Characteristics That Millionaire Businesspeople Have in Common

July 22nd, 2009 No comments

In May 2005, Forbes magazine reported that there were 691 billionaires in the world. 1400 people across the world turn into millionaires every day. Want to become one of them? Of course you do. Everyone wants the freedom to do business in the way they choose. There is so much power in running your own business – and having a business that runs itself, which for many people is the ultimate goal.

Making money is not the only goal of becoming an internet millionaire – it’s about freedom. Many people across the world are gifted with experiencing this freedom everyday. How can you become one of these people? What kind of life, and business, do you want to run? Would you like to be able to check your email from your private plane? These are the kinds of goals many people have in mind when they begin to forge ahead with their business ideas. But the truth is that the rich and the successful – the millionaires off and online – have about nine characteristics in common, not that different from a lot of people we all know. Most of them exhibit some or all of these. The truth is that we all have the potential for greatness – if we can train ourselves to keep this in mind as we go about our business day.

1. They don’t blame. Successful businesspeople don’t blame others. Instead of making excuses for bad outcomes, or reassigning responsibility to others, they take time to learn from their own mistakes.

2. They are decisive. Millionaire-types have a vision. They take quick, decisive action aligned with that vision. They’re action oriented, always pushing forward toward their goals.

3. They trust their intuition. If something seems like it’s not quite right, they trust that instinct. If an opportunity excites them and sounds like a great idea, they go for it.

4. They are singly focused on their CORE business. Successful entrepreneurs may be inspired by ideas, but they always remain true to their vision. They focus on opportunities that are aligned with their business’s purpose. If you sell retail products on eBay, don’t try real estate investing the next day. They don’t lose focus. They may sell their products on eBay, write articles, focus on joint ventures, and go to marketing seminars, but all of their efforts, and FOCUS, help them move toward their main goals.

5. They are marketing focused. Millionaires, including such giants as Bill Gates, understand the importance of building on their core business. They hire people with specialties in marketing. They work hard at building their email lists, gaining exposure, and are constantly looking for ways to reaching a wider audience. If you want to build a decent income, you sell products and services. If you want to be insanely rich, then you create and control markets. The key to your business, and creating phenomenal success, is marketing.

6. They understand the importance of continuing education. Successful businesspeople are always learning and drawing from other people’s experiences. They listen to how other people have achieved their success, especially if these people have expertise in another industry. They are constantly learning about new approaches and strategies, and thinking about how they can apply it to their own business.

7. They are not afraid of making mistakes. Any big company online will tell you that they’ve had their share of downfalls, even such giants as eBay or Craig’s List. Mistakes are building blocks for success – by making mistakes, you learn what works, and what doesn’t. You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going. We all make mistakes, and one of the most powerful things you can do is glean feedback from them. Feedback is a great way to learn from your customers and colleagues. You need to look at feedback and take it with a grain of salt – it helps you learn and grow. See your mistakes as learning lessons

8. They model their business for success. Internet millionaires model other people, strategies, and systems. They constantly look for models of success in everyday life and think about how to incorporate these lessons into their own strategy. They even look at their competition for answers. Whatever niche you’re in, subscribe to some industry newsletters, buy their products, and learn HOW they create success.

9. They build a team to rely on. No matter what stage you are in with your business, you’ve got to realize that you simply cannot do it all. You can’t be an expert in everything. You want to create a great team of people. How can you find them? Go to seminars and workshops. Hone your networking skills. You’ll often find that like minded people that are out there constantly learning and attending, seminars and workshops. Getting rich is a team sport. You have to have people that are cheering you on, encouraging your success.

These are some inherent characteristics of business millionaires. Can you apply them to your business and your life, too? Of course you can. If you can keep these principles in mind, you’ve got the millionaire mindset. No, you aren’t going to get there overnight. Making a million dollars takes some time. You can’t make a million dollars if you haven’t made your first hundred. So focus on the first hundred, first thousand, and first hundred thousand. Thinking this way goes a long way toward your goals – finding success, gaining riches, and living the kind of life you want to live.

8 Questions to Ask Before Joining Affiliate Marketing Programs

July 4th, 2009 No comments

Ask questions first before you join one of these affiliate marketing programs. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate marketing programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate marketing programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate marketing program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 20% – 80% (and some cases, 100%!) is the commission paid by most programs. 0.01% – 0.05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate marketing program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

3 Killer Ways to Make Money Online with PLR

June 10th, 2009 No comments

Content makes the world go round. At least in the “world wide web” it does. The problem is that it’s darned hard to sit and write content all day, and it’s expensive to hire someone else to write it.

So, what’s an Internet Marketer to do?

Private Label Rights (PLR) to the Rescue!

If you’re working online, you’ve likely heard buzz about PLR or “Private Label Rights” content. If not, where have you been hiding? Fortunately you are reading this article because it is so easy to make money online with PLR.  If you aren’t familiar with PLR products, basically they are digital items (articles, e-books, etc.) that are provided in a file that you can edit and use in various ways. How’s that for vague? The reason the description is so vague is that PLR content can be found in many forms:

1. Articles

2. Pre-written newsletters or e-zines

3. Small Reports

4. Full Length e-books

5. Website templates

6. Audios and even videos

Basically, anything that you can download on the Internet is being sold as PLR.

The second part of my definition “can edit and use in various ways” is also vague because each PLR service includes their own unique rules. Most PLR sites allow you to edit the items as you wish, and use the content in your own projects. However, they usually do not allow you to sell PLR rights to others to do the same.

Translation: You can use the PLR product for your own uses, but you can not sell or give the product to others. (Read the rules with any PLR you purchase as they can vary greatly.)

To simplify things, we’ll focus on PLR articles, reports and e-books. Basically, written content. PLR solves the two problems stated above.

1. Not having enough TIME to write the content you need.

2. Not having enough MONEY to hire a quality writer for all your content needs.

PLR is like having ghost-written content that you share with a group of people. It’s not, by any means, a perfect solution, but it can save you time and money. Plus, anyone with motivation and some skills can turn that content into cash, it’s that easy to make money online with PLR.

Once you understand the concept behind PLR items, you can see the appeal. Most people can envision the value of adding the content to their websites. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that?

So, where can you find PLR?

If you are completely new to the PLR scene, check out:

www.EasyPLR.com – Quality Niche Articles!

Whether you’re new to PLR or whether you’ve got a hard drive full of PLR that’s sitting unused, here are some ways to turn PLR into cash.

1. Blog Posts.

Got a blog? Who doesn’t these days?

Blogs are a great way to build a relationship with your readers, get the search engines to love you, and actively promote your own products or services to people who are interested in what you have to say. Blogs and PLR go together like macaroni and cheese. Here’s how…

Use your PLR articles or reports to fill up your blog with quality content. Simply take an article that contains 5 or 10 tips and insert each one into separate blog entries. Write a personal intro to each. Insert some product recommendations, affiliate links, links to your own products, or adsense to monetize the posts and you’re set.

Tip: If you’re using WordPress, this process is even easier. Schedule the messages to autopost every few days while you’re on vacation or working on other projects.

Of course, because the search engines value unique content over duplicate content, you’llwant to “change it up” a bit and personalize or customize the blog posts to your target audience.

Translation: You don’t want your blog posts to be exactly the same as the other members. If every member of the PLR site copies and pastes the same article into their blogs or websites, too, yours won’t be unique. So spend a few minutes changing it up – and, more importantly, adding more to the blog posts.

2. Newsletter Content.

Need content for your newsletter list? PLR articles can be the perfect answer. Of course, if you’re developing a relationship with your readers, you will want to rewrite them a little to match your own writing style (otherwise, it may sound like you copied and pasted PLR content into your newsletter which isn’t cool).

However, you can pull a section from a PLR article – use it as inspiration — and whip out a newsletter in minutes.

3. Instant e-course.

If you purchase a package of PLR articles based on a theme, it’s quite easy to turn them into an ecourse simply by adding them to your autoresponder. Something as simple as “5 Recipes from around the world” can become a 5 day e-course to grow a big newsletter list.

Internet Based Marketing Uncovered

June 7th, 2009 No comments

There are many techniques used when internet based marketing. The key to success as an internet marketer is to build a list of interested subscribers, giving you a read-made sales channel to promote your products.

There are many ways to build your list of potential customers but with internet based marketing then it is simply about providing quality information with a hook to obtain the email address on first contact. One particular technique that can be employed is the free offer. In fact, free offers are for more than list building. They can lead to profits right away, if you’re smart about it.

Free offers give you an excellent tool for attracting attention. As I’ll show you, that attention can translate into profits almost immediately.

It’s often a challenge for new internet based marketers to figure out ways to attract buyers. One of the specific challenges is how not to build a huge list of so-called “freebie seekers” who sign up for a list to get a free gift, but never end up buying anything. Seeking to avoid that, many marketers avoid making free offers entirely.

That’s a mistake.

Free offers are a necessary tool for you. But you need to be smart about making a free offer. A free offer by itself will indeed attract attention from freebie seekers. Then you’ll have to figure out how to sell to them later. A smarter strategy is to attempt a sale right away, and turn some of those freebie seekers into paying customers from the start.

So, how “Free” For Them Can Mean Profit For You? Nothing sells quite as well as free. Buyers like that price! But that’s not why you’re in business. If you don’t end up making money from your free offer, you’re giving away product and costing yourself money.

The smart way to integrate free offers into your business is to make them front end offers for products that cost something. The free offer attracts attention. Then you pitch your non-free product as what’s called an upsell.

If the concept of an upsell sounds new to you, it’s really not. When you go to the movies and buy popcorn, for example, the kid behind the counter probably asks you something like, “Would you like the monster size for only twenty-five cents more?” That’s an upsell. Now, it’s not quite the same, because you’re already buying something (the popcorn), but the principle is identical—it’s getting somebody to spend more right now.

Sometimes you’ll hear people talk about one-time offers (OTOs). The way most people use the term, OTO refers to exactly the same thing as an upsell, so don’t let that confuse you. In website terms, you’ll integrate your upsell between your sales page and your buyer registration page. In other words, you’ll present the upsell before somebody gets your free offer.

There are many of these techniques being put into use while internet based marketing so if you would like to find out more click here.
